The Author

Rabbi Susan Abramson is a graduate of Brandeis University and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She received her Doctor of Divinity degree from Hebrew Union College in 2006.
She has been the rabbi of Temple Shalom Emeth in Burlington, Massachusetts since 1984. She is the author of the Rabbi Rocketpower series of children's Jewish holiday books.
She is the longest-serving female rabbi in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Illustrators

Ariel DiOrio, illustrator of the Rabbi Rocketpower Hanukkah, Shabbat and Passover books, has been illustrating her own stories since she was three years old. At the time of her involvement with Rabbi Rocketpower, Ariel was a senior at the Mass College of Art and Design in Boston. She is an artist and teacher and uses her artistic talents for Tikkun Olam, to help the world be a better place.

Laura Standley, illustrator of Rabbi Rocketpower in a Tooty Fruity Tale for Tu Bishvat, is an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an active member of Temple Shalom Emeth. She is pursuing a career in engineering at M.I.T. and is continuing her interest in art.

About the Designer

Genna Sandler grew up at Temple Shalom Emeth. She graduated from Fitchburg State University in 2009. Upon graduation she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in photography. She currently lives in Hollywood, CA.
